Dr. Risa Ryger is a New York Clinical Psychologist, national and international speaker, and researcher with over 20 years of clinical experience. Dr. Ryger graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts as an Interdivisional Scholar in Psychology and Biology. She was awarded her Master of Science, Master of Philosophy and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University.

In her private practice, Dr. Risa Ryger treats children, teens, and adults, and addresses parenting, couples’, and divorce issues. She is particularly skilled in depression and anxiety therapy.

Dr. Ryger has received extensive training in treatment modalities and tools including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Developmental Neurobiology, Mindfulness Practices, Psychodynamic Therapy, Play Therapy, and Behavior Management Intervention. Her training has been complemented with in-depth work in Interpersonal Neurobiology, attachment, neuroscience and training in Parenting From the Inside Out with Dr. Daniel Siegel. Dr. Ryger has also been trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli.

Dr. Ryger is also the Founder of 93% Consulting, LLC. Dr. Ryger proudly serves on the Advisory Council of Mindfulness Without Borders. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Ryger lectures extensively, conducts workshops and consults with professionals, students, parents, and educators. She is a national and international speaker and has guest starred on NYU Heart to Heart on Sirius Doctor Radio with cardiac surgeon, Dr. Greg Ribakove, as an expert in Stress Management and Reduction.
